Aboriginal Cultural Connections Workshop’s

"Strengthening Creativity and Connection Across Regional NSW."

The Aboriginal Regional Arts Alliance (ARAA) is offering 10 facilitation fees of $1,000 to support Aboriginal cultural practitioners in delivering creative workshops in regional and remote NSW from February 2025 to May 2025.

These facilitation fees provide financial support and wraparound services to empower practitioners while fostering cultural engagement and creativity in local communities.

Application Details:

  • Deadline: Applications close on 5th January 2025.

  • Enquiries: Accepted until 19th December 2024.

  • Notifications: Successful applicants will be informed by 17th January 2025.

What’s Included:

  1. $1,000 Facilitation Fee

    Use for artist fees, materials, venue hire, catering, or any workshop-related costs.

    • Can be combined with other funded projects or workshops.

    • Any costs additional to the $1000 are the responsibility of the facilitator, the facilitator at their discretion can charge a participant fee. 

  2. Free Project Support

    • Project Management Mentoring: Guidance in organising and managing the workshop.

    • Marketing Assistance: Custom flyers and social media tiles to promote the workshop.

Facilitator Commitments:

  • Workshop Delivery: Plan and deliver one creative workshop between February and May 2025.

  • Media Submission:

    • 5–10 high-resolution photos for ARAA’s use.

    • 3–5 minutes of video footage (unedited) for ARAA’s use.

    • Submitted within 7 days of the workshop.

  • Marketing Acknowledgement: Include ARAA and funding body logos on all promotional materials.

  • Acknowledgment: Recognise ARAA and funding bodies in pre-event and event communications.

  • Reporting: Provide feedback, data, and a written report using ARAA’s provided template.

Payment Schedule:

  • 1st Instalment: $800 upon signing a facilitator agreement and submitting a tax invoice.

  • Final Payment: $200 upon fulfilling all reporting requirements.

Application Requirements:

  • Personal details (name, address, contact info, ABN).

  • 300-word bio detailing experience in workshop facilitation.

  • 500-word workshop description, including planning details.

  • 100-word statement on how this opportunity will enhance your practice.

  • Two referees.

  • Public liability insurance (if available).

  • Optional: CV and examples of work.
