About Us
Established in 2019, we are a collective of regional Aboriginal Artists and Arts Administrators, brought together by our mission to advocate, support and provide opportunities for Aboriginal Artists, Arts Workers, Aboriginal Organisations and Cultural Practitioners in Regional NSW.
Our Vision
A strong and vibrant Aboriginal arts and culture sector in regional NSW, where artists, arts workers, and communities are respected and celebrated for their excellence, innovation, and deep cultural connections to Country.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advocate, support and develop opportunities for arts workers, artists, organisations and cultural practitioners in regional and remote NSW to ensure a stronger sector with respect and recognition for authentic excellence.
Our Objectives
Advocate for Aboriginal Arts in New South Wales.
Service the diverse needs of regional and isolated artists and communities within New South Wales.
Foster networks and partnerships to drive the objectives of the alliance.
Build the capacity of Aboriginal regional Artists through leadership, professional development and economic opportunities.
Support the delivery and connection of arts and culture projects and program in New South Wales.
“ The regional Aboriginal arts sector is wonderfully complex and embedded in community connection. The ARAA is proof that extensive work has been done in this sector and continues to be driven by connection across the state.”
