"Unique Identities"

"Unique Identities" - a statewide professional development project for Aboriginal Artists and Arts Workers from regional NSW to build capacity and resilience of participants while inspiring them to immerse themselves in the exploration of their own unique cultural identity. 

Exploration of their own unique identity through in-depth research into histories of the past, where they come from and their connections to country and community to allow the demonstration and recording of one’s own interpretations, inspired from findings of their own personal journey to become who they are today, using their preferred artistic genre to create and share a body of works in a contemporary art form telling their story of being embedded in the rich cultural landscape with a sense of belonging as a person where ancestors, country and humanity combine playing an integral role in artist development, experience, memory and emotions while enhancing self-determination, creative, economic and social outcomes.
